Spring Looks You’ll Love

It’s never too early to get all optimistic for spring. We’re dreaming of ditching heavy winter coats for light macs, swapping boots for sneakers, and actually being able to leave the house without a woolly hat, scarf and gloves! And to help get you in the mood for spring, we’ve been taking a look at what Spring Summer 2019 has to offer us in the wardrobe stakes- and it’s looking very, very good!

1) Beautiful beige. Yep, you read it right, beige. To get into the swing of spring, you need to push aside your old ideas of beige as this tone is far from boring. With a modern update, you can even (gulp!) wear beige head to foot. Mix and match your neutral tones, from a creamy beige to a deeper beige verging on tan, or add in some black and white for sheer beige perfection! It’s a look that can work for both men and women, and was seen across the catwalks for SS19. And to complement your many shades of beige, may we introduce you to the perfect (beige) wooden hanger.

2) 80s and 90s revival. If you have any genuine 80s clobber still knocking about in your wardrobe, then it’s time to dig it out as 80s fashion is very much in evidence for SS19. From shoulder pads and flounces at Chanel to polka dots at Dolce and Gabbana, 80s fashion will be coming back in a big way. The 90s too is having a moment, especially in trainers says George Sullivan, CEO and founder of The Sole Supplier: “The biggest sneaker brands in the world are taking heavy inspiration from 90s era designs, such as Nike with the completely modernised Air Force Max and Nike Shox.  The modern versions, however, carry more tech, like reinforced ankle collars, rugged outsoles, technical lacing systems and mesh underlays.” This Heavy Duty Clothes Rail can handle your clothes and your shoes.

3) Animal print. You either love it or you hate it but either way, animal print is going to be big in SS19. If you can’t go full on animal then you can ease yourself into the trend with animal print accessories on everything from floaty scarves and sunglasses to belts and bags. And there are lots of options for men and kids too! Keep those animal accessories organised with the super hard wearing Chrome Accessory Hanger with a single hook. It can be used in your wardrobe like a normal hanger but keeps scarves, belts and bags close to hand.

4) Sustainability. With customers demanding more sustainable fashion, brands are delivering. George Sullivan of The Sole Supplier said: “A whole new sneaker category is emerging, inspired by natural plant-based materials and more eco-conscious consumers.” George says the trend was inspired by Meghan Markle who wore vegan Veja V-10s in Australia massively boosting the popularity of the trainers, and Emma Thomson who wore Adidas x Stella McCartney vegetarian Stan Smiths to the palace.  George adds: “Trainers made from recycled polyester, organic cotton, wild rubber and natural hemp, combining both style and comfort, will be popular in 2019.” Get your trainer collection organised with this heavy duty shoe rack.

5) Prairie chic. If there’s one thing that really makes us feel it’s spring, it’s the switch to lighter fabrics, and with the prairie chic SS19 trend you can really indulge. Think long, floaty dresses and muted, flower printed fabrics that look straight out of Little House on the Prairie. If that’s all a bit much for you though, you can mix it up with a punk edge and black combat boots. And the best news of all is that you can enjoy 10% off across the whole Clothes Storage department now, just the ticket for getting your wardrobe ready for spring!
